I bought an 1839 Large Cent (Head of 1838) in an NGC slab. It's graded AU55BN and is N-3 Rarity 2. I already have 1839 Silly Head and Booby Head varieties.

The NGC photos are very dark and the coin is lighter in hand so I tried to take some pics with better lighting. I'm not a good photographer so they look the color is uneven especially on the reverse pic but they aren't uneven in hand.

Comments are always appreciated.

Great looking coin, love the color. Making me crave dark chocolate! From what I can tell, I'd say grade is spot on. Nice pick up

The white insert in the NGC slabs can cause problems when photographing copper coins.
