Can anyone give me any information on this token? All I have been able to find out is that the schedule is for the 1954-55 University of North Dakota hockey season. It's much shinier than the scan shows. It's about 38.3mm in diameter, and 1.7mm thick. I can't tell if it is plastic or aluminum. Is there an easy way to determine this? Hi, I'm not sure I have much info, but you might be able between aluminum plastic by the weight, or how it sounds when dropped on a hard surface. Plastic might sound duller, without a metallic ring.  |

This might sound drastic but id maybe heat up a very fine needle and touch it to the edge , if its plastic theres no real loss other than a pindot on the rim.

I don't know what it is, but I want one, too. UND class of 85, Schmidt drinker and a big Sioux Fan.

Nice to know there is another Sioux fan on here!
If I can get more info on this token, my next search is for one from the U of M. I would assume since Schmidt was brewed in St. Paul back then, they must have made one for the Gophers, too? They would make a nice pair!

Thanks chequer, I will keep my eye open on ebay, I would even take on for the Gophs, seeing most of my $$$ goes there for my daughter's tuition. |

Thanks for the link chequer. I will have to save a "schedule coin" search on e-bay and see if anything comes up.
I did a little "drop test" with a token that I knew was alum. and with this token. They sounded the same. They both had a very metallic ring. So I guess it's aluminum.
Now to find one for the U of M before The Duke does!

lol I would try other searches too. I only checked that one as an example. I knew I had seen schedule tokens while looking for sport tokens myself (hmm, I wonder if I have any). Some sellers know they are tokens or medallions, so they will use that term in place of "coin." Good luck!
