It's a bit tattered, but still good. I'll have to get me some of that fractional currency someday.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

No I'm not selling, just posting them for view. And I don't collect notes...I don't collect notes...I don't collect notes...I've got to remember this, seriously.
I did get these two a couple months ago and they are very fragile.
The ten cent note says "act of March 3rd 1863" American Bank Note Co N.Y. The 25c note says "act approved March 3rd 1863" National Bank note C. New York.
So 1863 is the oldest they could possibly be.

I found these on ebay. I was surprised when they arrived as they are a small size note. The 10c 79mm x 49mm (@ 3in x 2in). The 25c 96mm x 47mm (3 3/4in x 2 in).

I saw this and though "Why Bother?" Why not just use a nickel? Is it that combat troops don't want the jingle of change in their pockets? Front Back Does anyone want to hassard a guess as to the year? Is that girl a Hollywood star or Modern Miss Liberty? She has a early 1960's hairstyle so maybe this is from that era.
