It's not "to" the denticle, it's between.

At first glance 1st photo that's what I thought , but if you look close at the 3rd photo and follow denticles it points to the denticle.

When I saw the first pic I thought no, but the last pic leaves no doubt.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

To me, the last pic leaves no doubt that it's between the denticles, but I'm old..
