Can anyone tell me how this dime was cracked ? It has a significant crack through the face and a crack that runs at least half way around the coin . Was this a mint issue or damaged after?

Looks post-mint and that someone was trying to make a Magician's coin with it.

IMO this is a planchette flaw, cracked with a tight clamshell split planchette.

Damage done on obverse shows crack is PMD. Thus rim crack (which is likely PMD) is moot.
