1999 Connecticut Quarter (Tree) Extra Branch

MajRewbe New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 07/31/2023 7:46 pm After going through my quarters I noticed that All (that I had) Denver minted quarters had an extra branch compared to All (that I had) Philly minted quarters. I compared those with the picture on the US Mint page ... that pic matched the Philly quarters. Questions: 1) Do all the coins for a given run use the same Die? 2) Do they use multiple Dies? 3) Is there a 'master' die that is copied for actual minting for each location? My point is that if this is due to a die crack (the extra branch) would this be seen on ALL coins for that year from a given location? Thanks. Report this Post to the Staff
