Can an admin delete all photos dated 2022 and earlier. Keep everything 2023 and forward. I've changed my collecting goals and everything posted 2022 and older are irrelevant and will not be used again for future posting

No, because then all the topics they are in will be worthless.

It might be good someday to add a delete image or delete range of the images. I had put some that I was thinking to use but didnt or would want to upload a few to compare and delete the worse one, or a later one and replace the earlier one etc.

Yes if you've used the image before in posts then at minimum could throw up a warning about that before deleting to prevent old posts from being broken that had that image to display, or lock those from being able to delete, except for a mod to do if that would be a big issue. If you didnt use the images at all in posts (just uploaded) and were not going to, then what you are asking is fine I would think.

There will never be a delete function. We've had people get miffed over something silly and want to delete all their posts and images. Exactly why it can't be done after a certain time.

Ah, I can see what you mean why you have that. I think it still can be done, but to preserve older content on the forum just lock any image thats been used in a post after that time period to edit is over so that specific image can't be deleted. I see no problems with deleting images that have not been used in forum posts, do you? I had also just thought of just a few images which I had wanted to possibly upgrade/replace since the post couldnt be edited later.

Ok. Its just a thought of allowing delete but it would have to know if the image was used or not in any post and then just not allow the delete on those. No problem if you can't its just an idea for later and would save space if people deleted some images they werent going to use anyway. The replace image was just a different thought so someone could later replace an image with another, also perhaps with a limit such as needing over 1000 posts and can only do x per x timeframe so that people don't just start to wipe things destroying content for others when there is a problem. Of course you could instead allow 3 post edits a month after the timeframe to those over 1000 posts which could accomplish the same thing while preventing a large loss of content under the reason you mentioned.
