Are you able to get a clearer picture of the obverse?

New picture is not better, don't know about a die crack because they aren't that wide - even if it is flattened from circulation.

it is from the coin and not something added on has to be from minting only thing I know that will do that is a deterioated die or die crack a chunk of the die could have chunked out ?

I don't think it is a die crack - if it were, you would see a lot of movement above it and the denticles shifted.

The reverse of the coin in the same area as the obverse area of interest does not appear to be damaged indicating PMD.

If it was a die crack to cause that wide of an area of design loss one would expect it to be a Die Cud and all details from the line to the rim would be missing.

Due to the low grade of the coin and the POOR pictures no one will be able to give you an accurate answer.

Try removing the coin from the 2 X 2 and taking a better picture.
