1979 S Proof Set And 1981 S Proof Set - Type 1 Or Type 2?

Blackhawk New Member United States 19 Posts	Posted 06/20/2026 6:38 pm * Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. * I would like to add both the 1979-S Proof Sets (Type 1 and Type 2) and the 1981-S Proof Sets (Type 1 and Type 2) to my collection. I recently purchased three proof sets that were advertised as either Type 1 or Type 2. However, after receiving them and comparing the mint marks to online photos of the Type 1 and Type 2 "S" mint marks, I became uncertain about their attribution. I have posted the best photos I could take of the coins in each of the three sets. In each collage, the coins are arranged from left to right as follows: Top row: Cent, Nickel, Dime Bottom row: Quarter, Half Dollar, Dollar Could you please help identify whether the coins in each set have the Type 1 or Type 2 "S" mint mark?
