For Sale : $2 FRN 2017A Star Notes, Consecutive Serials

Here I have, as received from the bank about a year ago, a group of eighteen 2017A $2 notes, New York district, with mostly consecutive serial numbers : B07172661*—B07172666*, B07172668*—B07172678*, and —B07172680*. I could well believe that I paid away one of them before realizing what I had, but why there should be two breaks in the series I can't explain at all. If it were a straight run of 18 consecutives, I would ask $5 per note or $90 ; since it is not, I am asking $60 for the group.

B07172664* has a small fold crease at top right corner. Otherwise I evaluate them as being as close to crisp uncirculated as notes that have been counted manually by a teller are likely to get.

Face plate number is C4. Face plate check numbers represented are C36 through C39 inclusive. Back plate check numbers are 17, 19, 21, and 22.
