crystalk64 Pillar Of The Community 3147 Posts	Posted 05/23/2006 8:06 pm I bought a 1/4 ounce of gold two weekends ago for $180.00 for my little guy's collection. That was bullion value at the time but apparently yours is a proof and in the collecting world they hold more value. None the less the quarter ounce of gold's price on any given day will be based on the gold market value. I would suggest you check ebay for 1998 Proof 1/4 ounce Eagles to get a more accurate idea at this time. Report this Post to the Staff
