If I'm correct, all the dies for Morgans were produced at Philadelphia; there shouldn't be a whole lot of difference between the actual look of the digits in the date. Since they were punched by hand, I can understand differing locations. I would think the 5's would all be the same, though, considering the extremely low number of total 1895 dies produced - 52 for all mints combined - when compared to a "normal" year when well over 100 would be required for Philadelphia alone. I should think the same date punch probably sufficed for all of them.
