I stopped by a coin shop yesterday to see if they had the 2010 proof yet(I'm not sure if its even available).

They didn't have it but the guy showed me some of the P's and D's not knowing that I already had them.

the strange thing about them is they weren't gold looking at all. They had more of a silver color. Has anyone seen this before?

I have seen it one other time, it was on a ebay auction. I wonder if it a case of toning with the metal make-up of the coin being (85% copper,6% Zinc, 4% manganese, 2% Nickel). Just a thought.

they had a whole roll of them...same color as a quarter...

I thought maybe the business strikes aren't gold anymore...but I haven't heard anything....maybe I should have bought some.

Sorry I don't have any pics...I didn't buy any.

Do you think it could have just been the lighting in the store? It's a well lit store.

I have a whole album full...I'm only missing 2010 s - so I think I know what they should look like.

It will probably be a few weeks before I can make it back. If they still have them I'll try to buy one.

I've seen some that had a "silvery" look to them before......but it's just a combination of lighting and toning IMHO.....nothing more.
