ok looking at the mint numbers around 100mill and 50mill its sounds rare being its a lowest production dime in 30yrs besides the 96w
so when you compare some of the 40's and 50's dimes with around the same mint number they are not worth much and the key dates are lower like the dimes with 20-30mill minted
so what is the value in the long run ? i have two near mint I found in the last few months in pocket change
i have seen some coins worth a certian amount then fizzle out ? worth selling them now for a few bucks ? maybe in 20-30yrs they might be only worth a few bucks also.
I agree. If you are looking at the LONG run... 50 years down the road it may be worth 1.00. Current coins don't have any metal value. You would be better keeping that dime in a money market account and in 50 years that sane dime would have turned into $6.40. (rule of sevens). I would keep one that looks amazing. Don't get me wrong... I keep one dime for every year. I like making sets. And every spot filled is worth a great deal to me.
