Imagine that, those old junk dimes, quarters, and halfs worth 20 times their face value now in silver. Near $28.00 an oz. spot.

Makes it hard to call them "junk"...no matter what they look like.

Exactly! Nothing too "junky" about 20x face.

It's a wonderful thing to see silver climbing it is long overdue and still quite undervalued in my opine

People probably know the dollar strengthened today, but expect it to weaken when the government institutes QE3, QE4, QE5...

Man that jump did not last long, did someone find a new silver mine, not sure how they come up with silver price but I think at one point today it was above $29.00 at monex, what do those prices mean anyhow? Open/High/Low is it determined by the stock market?

I posted this somewhere else, but the CME raised the margin requirements for buying silver contracts. From 500 to 6500 ir so. THat will make it more expensive to buy silver. I think it goes down from here. The dollar has strengthened a bit too, but we have to see how that ends.

Monkeyman, Can you explain to me what that means? (raising the margin requirement) Are they just saying you must but the contracts in higher volume now? And if so wouldn't that just increase the number of contracts or would it remove a lot of the street buyers thus lowering demand? thank you - steve
