Wanted to share what was hiding in a roll last month. I was going through a box of Nickels. I Saw 1950...Slowly turned it over and saw the "D". I couldn't believe what I found. Any guess on the Grade?

Congratulations! Very nice find. Some steps even. I slowly turned my the 50 I found a couple days ago too (while holding my breath). No luck for me on the D but I was still happy.

nice find!

rachums, I think your being a wee bit too tough on this coin, what your seeing on the obverse is a weak strike.

i have no doubt in my mind that this coin is AU

Way to go! 2 of my last 3 have been nice. Certainly an unintentional dump, or there's fungus (crooks) amungus.

This could be bad news. The color and detail is that of the 1950-Dallas. A counterfeiter in Dallas (late 50's or early '60s) was busted with EDM spark-dies and 2.3million coins. The D-Mint made less than he had in a storage locker. His are better strikes thans D-Mint made. Genuine are soft. Sorry. You need to have this certified, sorry.

Nice find! Looks like an insert from one of those Whitman holders that I saw at the hobby shop.
