mikediamond Pillar of the Community United States 2742 Posts	Posted 06/13/2013 9:11 pm Vance, your Canadian cent was struck on a split planchet that received a 50% indent from a planchet of presumably normal thickness. It would seem that, in most areas, planchet thickness was less than minimum die clearance, which is why a die-struck design formed mainly in the area opposite the indent.
