Let me also mention that you can do gradient backgrounds as well. They make for a nice presentation, but you just don't want to get carried away to the point where the graphics speak louder than the coin. Here's a couple I did. Note: the outer black border isn't as thick as shown. The forum adds a black outline when hosting pictures.
