So it looks like it says OMPAV on this coin,and either way it seems like it's from whatever coin this was counter stamped on top of.....ive seen this before on coins when I was younger...I just started getting back into collecting and admiring again so I'm fuzzy..lol. But if anyone could tell me what it really says that would help a lot. I'm almost done completely identifying this coin.... Report this Post to the Staff

echizento Moderator United States 23731 Posts	Posted 02/08/2020 3:58 pm Interesting coin. The coin appears to be over struck on an earlier coin, so what you are seeing of a legend doesn't belong to a Heraclius follis. Report this Post to the Staff

Heresy23 New Member United States 17 Posts	Posted 02/10/2020 12:24 pm So I have tried comparing prior coins, imwas thing that the AV could be part of AVG, but the G is gone and it's on the wrong side of the coin.. I really can't find anything even coming close.. I'm gonna have to dig deeper .. Report this Post to the Staff
