Hello, just registered. As the subject indicates I am usually over on the stamp side of the forum. Popping in here as my wife received a bag full of foreign coins when her great aunt passed a few years ago. Her aunt was a world traveler and kept some coins as mementos wherever she went. My wife tasked me with figuring out what to do with them. I have to be honest we most likely will not be collecting them. My stamp collection already takes up most of the office and it would not go over well if I started adding coins into the mix. Whether I end up selling them, or giving them away I do not know yet but just starting to figure that out. Every now and then I might pop in for a post to help me figure out what's what and I definitely appreciate the expertise of the people in this room. thank you.

As John1 mentioned, Numista is a great online resource for info on world coins, and I use this resource on NGC as well:
