Maybe I did not read the thread right, but where did the piggy bank come from? If that person is still around, you better give them a HUGE thanks and see if maybe they have something else laying around that they may have forgotten about.
The exciting part about this is the fun factor that others have mentioned but also the history behind the coins and the time time frame they were collected. There isn't one person on this board that would complain about receiving that piggy bank as a gift so make sure to keep it that way. The other part that I really like about this collection is that the coins you have can not (usually) be found in circulation and the amount of silver you have. Those earlier coins are 90% silver and can be saved for that fact alone, especially with the coins that the dates and mint marks can not be read.
Something you may want to do is take some advice given earlier and look for some coin folders to put your coins into. From what I can tell, there really is not anything in a high grade so any folder, especially the cheaper ones, will do. Who knows, if you start putting them into folders, you may actually want to start collecting for yourself.
Before I forget, there are a number of professionals on this board that want to do everything they can to help you out, so welcome to the board and keep getting advice.
