I got this raw Mexico 2-Reales 1746 M over a weekend coin show.
Mexico-2r-1746,-Possible-Unlisted-Yonaka-Variety?

Going thru Brad Yonaka's Variety Guide to the Silver and Copper Coinage of the Mexico City Mint 1732-1771, this is basically listed as a "Yon M2-46b" variety -- with a pellet after the assayer initial. Page 153 of the book.

However, going thru more detailed look, there appears to be an overstrike on the assayer initial. Also there also appears to be more materials on the '6'.

Brad would possible catalog this as an overstrike, and possible as another variety.

Dot after M is known: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=13005309

Not sure I see an overstrike or recut date. I think I see a 6 that took a hit on its back and pushed some metal around. Not sure what happpened to the M.

Yes, as I originally posted, that main year-variety is/has been on Yonaka's guide as -- "Yon M2-46b".

Not expert here -- but isn't it that these colonial dies are supposed to be fixed. But is it possible that the both '6' and 'M' in the same small segment of the die moved or bounce or initially dislodged? Not sure if I'm logically here.
