PCGS - For many chop-marked coin collectors, perfection isn't the goal—history is. This 1809 Capped Bust half dollar bears Chinese chop marks, proving its silver content was tested and accepted for trade. The issue rarely made it to China, but this one did, and it stuns. Graded PCGS Genuine - XF Details (98 - Damage), it tells a story far beyond its surface.

I have never been a chop mark fan, but this one looks pretty cool.

Not a fan, either. So a few hundred years ago somebody 'took it out on' a coin. Today it is PMD. Kinda sad really, but different strokes and so on.
