For how much money can I sell this coin? This appears to be a 1914 "Fat Man Dollar" coin from the Republic of China. This is a relic from the period just after the revolution in China that overthrew the Qing dynasty, the last dynasty of imperial China.
Numista doesn't show specific figures, but the things I've read so far suggest that this is not a jackpot find because it's common, and the specific one in my possession is in rough condition. Many of these coins were made, so it's considered by many to be analogous to the
Morgan silver dollar of the US. I've also read that there are many fake Fat Man Dollar ROC coins.
Based on what I've read, and based on my experience selling an 1881 and a 1921
Morgan silver dollar, it sounds as if I'd be able to sell this Fat Man Dollar ROC coin for a double digit sum in the best case scenario.
