These playing card tokens were minted by The Mint, Birmingham around 1899/1900. There are two sets shown in silver and copper. The round ones are 18mm in diameter and the hexagonal piece is 19mm. These were designed and commissioned by William Comyns, a London silversmith.
It is indicated in Royal Commemorative Medals 1837-1977, Volume 1 by Whittlestone & Ewing that there may also be Brass, Bronze, Nickel and Gold sets.
