Post your extinct banknotes. What about those countries that do not exist anymore? Don't they need their own game? Of course they do.

Here's the rules:
1. Banknotes of a country that does not exist anymore.
2. Can be from a country that was occupied post WWII and then became a country.
ex. Germany occupied by USA post WWII to become West Germany and is now Germany. So, West Germany would be the extinct country.
3. A little history of the note would be thankful but not necessary.
4. No countries from the ancient history or medieval age.

Here is my first...

New-Game.-Post-The-Lost-Country!

Post WWI Germany experienced hyperinflation in the years leading up to 1923. As a result, many municipalities created notgeld, emergency money. Shortly after the hyperinflation years, came the creation of retengeld in the 1930's. Asset money is a way of using land, factories or anything of value for backing the Mark instead of gold. Deuchmarks came into play in about 1939. Then came the Third Reich. Deuchmarks.

way to go Keith67
Yugoslavia broke up in 1992. I don't know the circumstances but I do believe I have a Yugoslavian banknote around here somewhere.

Czechoslovakia 100 Korun 1961:

New-Game.-Post-The-Lost-Country!
Czechoslovakia was created in 1918 following the break-up of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It was split between Hungary and Germany during WW2 but was reunited as a single country again in 1945. It ceased to exist on January 1, 1993, since when the Czech Republic and Slovakia have been separate countries.
