Interested in everyone's opinion on this beautiful piece. I had someone say they believe it is a AU 50 to AU53. I am honestly in that same range around AU53 with beautiful toning on both sides as well. So I figured I would get you guys to take a shot at it. Thank you in advance everyone. I appreciate you taking the time out of your days to give your thoughts on this.   |

I'm thinking more like high VF to EF for the grade. Too much circulation wear on the high points in my opinion.

AU means almost uncirculated. This coin exhibits considerable circulation wear. What does the lettered edge look like? This example is in collectible condition. A TPG would grade it XF 45, at best. In future, please remove the coin from the flip, so we can better judge. |

I am very well aware of what AU means lol. The coin is not inside the flip his resting on it so I can take the photo. I don't like setting my coins on hard surfaces so I used the flip to rest the coin on it for the photo I took. I've been collecting for a while now. And most of these coins I've seen from this particular date with an AU grade aren't nearly in as good condition as this one. I do appreciate everyone's input. Thank you all very much
