Surprise surprise! They're at it again! Here's pics of an at first sight pretty convincing £2 fake. The edge inscription is pretty faint. Part of the legend isn't good, the centre of the reverse is the dead give-away along with the dubious effigy of Queen Elizabeth. The weight is spot on and the sides actually line up with one-another so it's pretty "good" even though for a "coin" ostensibly struck in 2014 it looks like it's only had about 6 months circulation.
That's quite scary, Spyro! I've found three fake £2 coins but all of them were cruder than this - the centre looked like aluminium or silver paper and the details were much more mushy. This one would fool a lot of people. Thanks for posting!
