That 1877 slab is stated as $4K with 74 examples at this level through PCGS. Whoa!

I bought those 3 coins along with 15 other coins raw from a collector for a set price. So, I do not know what I exactly paid for the 1877. I was hoping the two large cents would be authentic, so I was happy with the grade.

I went to a coin show and found some good deals. None were in good codition, but they fit my tight budget. $1 for a slightly damaged 1858 Flying Eagle cent and $2 each for an 1867 Shield nickel and 1908 Barber dime. I did not have any of these types in my collection, so it was a good way to get new coins for my growing collection. Happy Hunting! |

I'd love to have a 1799 and 1804 with just a details grade. In any grade, they are extremely valuable. I think they are too tough on copper and what does tooled mean anyway?

I picked this one up yesterday as part of a trade. Only 208,000 minted I guess Half Dimes were winding down in production.  7070 List Liberty Seated half dime 1860-73 Legend - check! Edited by oih82w8

Just picked these up yesterday for my Lincoln Cents album   and got this one just for fun I put the 1909 and 1909VDB in for scale. for some reason I am drawn to oversize fake coins  |
