Thank you MNP[ up] and very nice additions for all your coin too. as for the cleaning question, it does have a 'shine' to it, but I'm not seeing any physical signs of cleaning on the fields. Maybe the shine could be due to excessing handling in circulation and the high points were buffed up from that handling

Dearborn, interesting theory, it would explain why it doesn't have a buildup of polishing crud around the devices.

At the Houston Money Show this weekend I did something very uncharacteristic - bought a few US coins. A dealer had a big tub with a mixture of world and US coins in 2X2s that had been priced long ago. As I was snagging world silver well below melt I grabbed a few US coins. US 25 Cents 1927 ($8) 
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
