Oh, also smaller ones are usually the more accurate ones.

I hope your right about it being an erro. But I'll try Walmart for a scale. Now I have to have this nickle looked at to see the value. Thank you again.

Look for a seam down the side of the rim.

With regard to an economical scale, I use a MY WEIGH available from Brent-Krueger for less than 40 bucks. It is extremely versatile. It weighs in grams, ounces, troy ounces, and pennyweight. Accurate to within .1 of a gram. Been using it for years and it has been trouble free. Just a suggestion, not an ad.
