APMEX just started pre-selling the Shawnee bullion puck:

Premium is a joke... I paid less when I pre-ordered Saratoga when spot was higher and paid by credit card!

Yes it seems the lower silver spot the higher the premiums at least until price levels. I thought the bullion price was regulated somewhat. I don't purchase the bullion but I thought I recalled reading that.

The problem is that APMEX have set a benchmark and other dealers will charge similar premiums (let's face it, they follow each other...).
Once the market has been flooded, then dealers will undercut each other - see Saratoga for example. APMEX jagged up the premium, but now the coin is available from all dealers and premiums have dropped.

I'll wait for now as spot looks like it will drop further...

$25-$27 premium per coin. Still it started @ $95 this morning. Up to $95.75 per if under 10. It's not a bad deal and this should be a popular design since it's the only one of the five that doesn't either have people or man made structures.

Although off topic, I am almost 100 % sure that the US Mint 2016 Silver Proof and 2016 Silver ATB sets were in the schedule but now TBD.

The problem is that mintage numbers for the 2016 bullion and P coins have not been announced yet. There could be an abundance of the bullion similar to the 2011 issues, hence I don't know if this is a good deal or a bad one.
The problem is the Muppets at the US Mint for not providing information in time. Time and time again we have to wait, sometimes after the fact (TA9 set - remember the fiasco?).

Premium is at $5 over spot for 1 coin paid in cash, about $5/coin higher than last time.
The question is how much lower will other AP sell for.
One advantage I found out when purchasing the bullion puck (single coin) from APMEX is that the coin came in the airtite capsule and sealed in APMEX plastic bag vs a simple flip from other AP. I bought bulk airtite for the pucks directly and it still cost me around $2 each.

I agree with omxfl regarding unannounced mintage for 2016 Pucks.

I bought a huge pack of capsules some time ago:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/221466051867
Worked out at $1.20 each delivered. I typically buy a roll as you get a discount that is greater than the cost of 10 Z5 capsules.

I didn't know JM Bullion were in the habit of pre-selling - until now, of course.

Awh.... I didn't see any email from JM..... they usually send out email notify their existing customer.
Oh well, I just loose $3, considering that the airtite capsule cost me $3.
If spot price drop tomorrow, I may grab one from JM.

The days of a $14.95 markup ($2.99/oz) are essentially over, I think. Remember that the APs pay the Mint $9.75 per coin plus spot. What's working against the lower premium is the heightened interest from silver stackers and collectors, especially in the last year or so. Another is the lowering of spot, typically as spot goes lower, the premiums get higher. At $14.13 yesterday, the coin contains $70.65 worth of metal. $92.30 works out to $4.13 per oz over spot. Finally, after issue date these seem to go up by $20-$25 per coin, so if you are keeping with the series buy early rather than later.
