Looked at some of the bullion retailers offering bullion version of 5oz atbs for $140 and I have no idea why you wouldn't just pay 10-15 more dollars and buy the limited edition directly from the mint.
Silver is trading in Europe right now just shy of $25, if things get crazy in Syria with US intervention here soon, stocks in general will fall and precious metals will rise.
I think we need to remember this is a long series that will more than likely see silver prices back to 35 and above an ounce before the series is done.
As for preference of this year's ATBs:
I like them all. I really don't see any of the designs and say "that is just hideous". The mint is also offering the coins at a nice price.

Let's just hope they don't increase the prices before the next puck goes on sale. With the no shipping cost it makes this puck even more attractive than the $140 bullion version.

The only thing the bullion ones have going for them is in some designs if you get a true proof like coin the fields look really neat. I too like the P mint better for overall look. Now I just have to decide if I'm getting a second of each when I order on Thursday. This is a great price and the return policy is fair and easy.

The Mint is surely taking notice of the spot price, but they have two distractions this week, quarterly inventory and the shopping cart gets upgraded on Friday, which may shut down the website for a brief time. The might wait and see what happens with the London PM fix on Monday before taking any action. The crises in Egypt and Syria have a lot to do with PMs rising.

I bought another White Mountain this morning. That is the only one of the first 3 I really liked. I have debated on the other 2 and decided to save my money and go for 2 Fort McHenry tomorrow - especially if the price stays at $154.95 as it is looking too. Sadly I expect Mt Rushmoore to be impacted by this price rise and that is the primary coin I am looking at this year.

Yes. Looks like Fort McHenry may stay at 154.95. Hopefully they don't delay the offer of it. With all the other stuff going on at the Mint maybe they will just keep it as is. Spot price still leaves room as compared to cost. The proof Quarters and silver proof sets may see adjustments as well

Sadly I been distracted and keep forgetting to start getting these.
What I want to do is just scoop up the whole lot at once. You guys think they will sell out BEFORE they are all released for this product cycle from the US Mint?

yup - I think it depends on the price. I like many others have bought at least 1 more at the current $154.95 and if the mint does start hinting at a pending price increase... I expect a run on some of these. The White Mountain is sitting at 18,462 sold as of the 25th. That leaves 6,538 left before a sellout, and the others are over 10,000 to go - so I think those are safe for now.
If I were looking to buy these and the $154.95 holds into tomorrow - I'd buy those 4 and get the free shipping as well.

You never know. 2011 stayed AFS for a long while. 2012 HI and AK were taken off sale fairly quick with lower total mintage as well. The first 3 this year were offered at a decent price as compared to the others. While tied to spot in a way is the reason but it seems they have sold in greater numbers quicker at least to me. I was holding out on these due to low spot by comparison for most of the offer. Now is the time to biy I think before a price increase or just that they are sold out. I believer all 3 are on backorder now. Could have to do with the Mint inventory or sales but I would buy them now if you really want them. Free shipping at the mint for online purchases

You're welcome. I didn't buy the first year. Way too high of a price then. I started when the price came down.

Yes. I just checked as well on the mint site. I just wonder if any will be pulled from sale like HI and AK were way before their max mintage was sold

angel - I am thinking those 2 were at the end of the year when they came out... I think it would be more likely Fort McHenry and Rushmore will have a short run, if they do short them again.

Yes I realize that but many like me thought since the 2011 were still out there those swould never nad been stopped so quickly that's all I'm refering to. You never know. Look at the 2011 proofs as well. 2012 was abruptly taken off for sale while 2011 was out there almost 2 yrs. And the 2012 silver proof Quarters are still there. I say between the spot and you just never know and you really want them you should order. Many got no HI and those prices skyrocketed. I was lucky to get it
