thanks for the welcome!

so far, it seems everyone agrees that the coin has full bands. does anybody think otherwise? if so, why? sorry for the questions, I was confident about this coin until this evening when I was turned down by the dealer~

Great looking coin indeed!

are there any other alternatives to getting your coin graded? or will I have to sign up for pcgs?

Well ... I suppose you have three options ...

1. Find another local dealer willing to submit it for you and pay their fees.
2. Join PCGS yourself and pay the entry fee.
3. Ask a CCF family member with PCGS privileges to do this for you ... and likely the same cost as a dealer submission.

Looking forward to the PCGS answer ... this appears to be a lovely coin.

David, would you also classify this coin as FB?
thanks for the tips - I'm interested in the third option. forgive the suspicion but I'm afraid of tampering. are there well known, trusted users I can contact?

also, should I send this coin using the secure plus program?

edit: again, apologies for the amount of questions. I guess I'm a bit flushed with the opportunity of having such a community at my disposal!

from what I've read on other forums it seems like it doesn't make much difference (in price) whether or not the coin is submitted through pcgs' secure plus program. does anybody have any opinions or experience in this?

I don't see any reason to go for secure plus. There's no suspicion of doctoring or anything.

Opne-

I don't think you'll be able to do much of anything with ccf folks until you get 50 posts.
