Wonderful example, Stever. I rather like this design the best of the Educationals, and they're certainly pricey in higher PQ grades like this despite a large pop. Been looking for something comparable for a long time.

I searched a while for a mid grade Educational Deuce with original paper, and with some help, found this beautiful XF example. Love the design and massive eye appeal. Looks even better in hand.
Very nice!

It is nice and clean and sharp however I believe the borders will keep it down to maybe a 63. I'll think on it.

This I'm calling my serendipity note; when you see the reverse I think you'll understand my pleasant surprise.

I had assumed the note was uniface so didn't look at the reverse before or during the auction. What a wonderful surprise.

Wonderful $2 Educational, Steve! Can't get much nicer without going into Uncs. Just curious, did you get it privately, as from a dealer? The reason I ask is because I'm wondering if I missed a good auction recently. Next one I know of isn't for two months!

I was looking at this note and I just noticed something. It looks to be a subliminal depiction but the main, matronly woman has her legs configured to look like a big heart.

In addition to the Allegheny Furnace note with the "little" train in the vignette; also found this one. Remember Monopoly?
