I think a lot of us are looking at this from the wrong angel. 1wa is right, this has a lot less to do with some big conspiracy and a lot more to do with the amount of claims
ebay gets for fraudulent coins.
ebay has no vested interest in trying to say 1 company is better than another. Its in their interest to get as many as possible on there as they make their money through volume and bulk sales. With that said ANACS is not on there for a 1 simple reason, unlike PCGS/NGC you cannot go to the ANACS and verify that the code on the holder is indeed a legitimate coin from their pop report.
As soon as ANACS allows verification on their website you will see them added to the list. If some reputable dealer came to
ebay with an impressive set like the penny actions they just had I'm sure they would promote that and sell them.
This has nothing to do with
ebay trying to "squeeze" anyone out of the market and everything to do with them trying to reduce fraud and only have legitimate coins sold on the site. Frankly I like the effort on there part, a quick search of the coin listings on
ebay and it becomes quite obvious they need to crack down on what can and cannot be said/listed ect.
For those that really cannot wait and just want to buy ANACS coins, you can still buy or sell them on
ebay. You just cannot advertise them by their grade and the coins are basically considered raw, which as a buyer will probably get you a better price overall.
Thats just my
Two Cents on the issue. I think if theres anything we should be upset about its the fees they charge to sell something on
ebay and how they also charge a percentage of the shipping fee as well
