Needless to say, I liked the Vicky lot better (I'm not a bright & shiny person). What online auction did you get that lot from? Was it expensive?

Here's three 1882 variety coins that I have been on the hunt for a while now and finally hit my targets on all three thanks to a couple of collectors from this forum its was very much appreciated thanks to the both of you.

The first one is the 1882 Quad punched D in Canada I don't think it is a big variety coin but one I wanted in my collection.

The second is the 1882 Double punched Obverse die.

The third one is the very scarce Triple punched Obverse die.

Filling some spots I picked up:

1956 dime
1966 penny
2016 dime
2016 $1 (women's rights)
2016 $2 (polar bear)

...also was at Ottawa mint and bought this year's 50 cent roll and the new Caribou silver coin :)

I'm now at 51 coins in my album (circulation coins--NCLT stuff stays separate). Also now 20% complete from 1953-1967

these pieces are by no stretch rare but I couldn't pass either up! they both bring something to the table...the 49 has a gorgeous deep mirror obverse and I'm a strict graded but I honestly can't tell why it isn't in an MS-67+ slab

and the 1935 fits well with the 1953 quarter I showed above, and on top of that it has such beautiful colours which I couldn't fully capture in the pics

Bought my first silver Loonie at a coin show yesterday. It's the proof 1987-2012 25th anniversary of the Loon Dollar.

Unfortunately, I still have to buy another 20+ silver loonies to complete my loonie proof set. Thanks to the very generous RCM I have plenty of additions each year between the large silver dollars and these smaller Loon type.

GMS5: Are you the one who beat me bidding for that 2001 dollar on ebay about two weeks ago?

Anyways, yours is a beauty!

I hadn't bothered looking on ebay for two months since it's been hard to find any good bargains with all you eagle-eyed guys buying everything. Came across this quartet of large cents (1st photo is from the auction page) and was hoping no one else saw what I saw but was certain the bidding would go way past my $51 max bid. Next day I was surprised to find that I won at $32 !
