The 5 in the date does not look right. Can you post a straight on pic?
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning... -from PCGS website

John K, your suspicion about the 1925 is correct. It is indeed a fake. The "5" in the date is the most obvious problem.

I was afraid of this. Thanks for the feedback. Here is better picture. I wish I had my real 1925 up here in International Falls. Then I could have checked it against the photo on ebay which is the one attached to this post. Most of my stuff is down in a safety deposit box in Texas where I spend winters. I'll add it to my pile of mistakes since it was cheap.

I managed to get a little piece of the Cornerstone Collection: https://www.PCGS.com/cert/36632271 The coin arrived today, and it is much brighter and redder than the photos suggest.

The 1935 quarter is beautiful, seems considerably undergraded though... just my opinion from the photos.
