Those Vicky & Edward halves are really tough in MS. I used to have a near complete set except for those. Did finish my Newfy set about 30 years ago but only because the Heaton Mint hoard came out about then. I flew out to LA just to bid (and get) the complete 1872-H set from the hoard.

Love the Landon's

Peter, nice stuff on the 1910 Sovereign (09/10 is the last one I need for a type set, but my set is not MS), maybe one day.

Bought a lot of 23 large cents (21 Vickies) for $64 Cdn. during the summer($25 of that was shipping cost ! What's wrong with many US sellers charging up to $50 to mail coins worth under a dollar?). Couldn't believe I won at that price but the poor photos must have scared off the bidders, but I had to take the chance there was something decent.

Got the lot, a couple of crap, mostly okay fine and VF, an EF or 2, and finally got an 1881H micro D.

Terry .. I see the D/C at 14, but can't see the "horn" & underpunch top and top right. I have a small handful of the #3's as well. I think that we missed the boat a little when we initially set the prices for the numbered D/P'd 1859 when we wrote the Vicky variety section for the 2011 Charlton. The #3 is easier to find than the #4 (a full one).
