Did finish my Newfy set about 30 years ago but only because the Heaton Mint hoard came out about then. I flew out to LA just to bid (and get) the complete 1872-H set from the hoard. What's wrong with many US sellers charging up to $50 to mail coins worth under a dollar?). Couldn't believe I won at that price but the poor photos must have scared off the bidders, but I had to take the chance there was something decent. I have a small handful of the #3's as well. I think that we missed the boat a little when we initially set the prices for the numbered D/P'd 1859 when we wrote the Vicky variety section for the 2011 Charlton.
