Paralyse, that one is a beauty! What type of grade does it have? Is it AU condition?

It's in a 3rd gen PCI MS63BN holder. The grade is actually quite reasonable, I was on the AU/MS fence given the deservedly poor reputation of the late PCI slabs but I can't really pick up any signs of wear or rub, the fields are very clean, luster is good and color is good. Reverse color is closer to the obverse, but it's hard to photograph.

I see some indications of wear in the vertical crown jewels, the shoulder/chest buttons and the leaf lobe tips at 6:00. I say AU or AU+.

It's still in a awesome grade! AU condition is very good olfor an old coin like this one. Errers and Varietys.

Nice coin. Likely EF-45. Once you've seen an Eddy in UNC you'll know this one is not in its company. But it's still an attractive companion!

It will look good in my Uni-Safe album. I am working on trying to get replacements for my Eddies and Georges that are all AU+ and preferably with woodgrain toning, already got 4 of the dates upgraded. Album itself is almost complete except for a decent 1858, the tougher 1859 and 1891 varieties, and the dates 1890, 1892, 1894, and 1898. I love the later date large cents because they are really beautiful coins that can be found with great toning and woodgrain patterns and compared to US coins of the same era they are MUCH more affordable in high grades!
