Stunning coin!
My pack arrived today also, but they look much better! Of course, I'm probably just being biased since they're mine. :P

@coin_games: COA #2 --- That is super cool!! Here's a recent acquisition. Not rare, or special, but I have become interested in copper coins in general (because they tend to be in my price range . This particular coin is a small cent. My favourites are large cents, which I'll probably post a few at a later date.

For the past couple of years I have been plucking Canadian silver from the local scrap tubs as a sort of rescue mission. It's a fun but random way to build a collection, although I am fairly sure most of what I find is not now and likely never will be worth more than the prevailing bullion price. These are a few of the older specimens that have turned up. What say the experts? Am I wasting my time & funds on stuff like this? [5c. dates: top- 1862; bot.- 1875H, 1884, 1880.

@ mysilveryears It's never a waste of your time if you enjoy the hunt. I'd be stoked if I found some of those coins in your photos!
