@ spp-Ottawa does every coin have a die marker like you just pointed out. It's the first one I've ever saw. I never knew they existed until now. I'd like to learn more a out them. I had wondered what books talked about when specifying direction for medals and coins. I didn't completely understand.

My search a couple years ago for this variety brought me to this forum. I will put this aside for trade bait, not the best grade but the variety is easily seen.

Is there a recognised variation of the 1961 50 cent that has a narrow rim at the top (above and to the left of the date) and bottom? Or is this a missstamping?

Do such miss-strikes have value? Or are they just curiousities?

Picked this up yesterday from my local coin shop. Liked the nice die cracks on the obverse.

Picked up a 1962 PL65 5 Cent from Coin Mart to finish off my set of 1962 PL65 Cameo coin set...the lower decimals are tough to find.

Nice pickup with the 1916. I had spent a while looking for one of these in 63 at a reasonable price, but finally settled for a NGC MS62 a few months back. It's in at ICCS right now - I think it'll keep the 62, but we'll see.
