I think I'm going to order a 10oz Kookaburra for $330 shipped. Is that a good price? My local store sells them for $350 Thanks

In my opinion, with silver well below $30 right now I think the price is a bit high. However, with coins like this, there is always a premium on them, so I think you would be able to recoup most of the cost when you decide you want to sell it. Looking at ebay's completed listings, a 2012 10oz Kookaburra sold for $489.99 on May 11th. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-Austra...t_500wt_1182I would personally stick with a Kookaburra or Koala, because they have been around for a long time, and always command a premium. I think all of the Dragon coins are just a phase that people are in right now, and the premiums won't last, in my opinion anyway. Hope this helps, CC.

Are you buying this coin from SilverGoldBull? They have them for $319. I don't know what shipping costs, but I assume it is one of the cheapest around, considering they are also in Canada.

I REALLY don't like these monster coins. I have only recently started to think of doing an ATB 5 oz set, have maybe 6/11 so far released. The only reason for ATB set is because I fancy myself a patriot in my own mind and it seems like I must buy almost anything the US Mint puts out, esp. anything silver. That being said I would be on the lookout for a nice brand name 10 oz bar, maybe even and old poured Engelhard or JM. You will pay a bit more then you probably think you should but don't sweat a couple dollars. In the scheme of life whats an extra $20 on a bar silver you plan on holding for 25 years?

10oz 2012 kook coins. $ 314 cad plus $20 for shipping. Silver gold bull. I just bought a 10oz ntr bar from them today when spot hit 26.90usd. Total cost was 314.58 cad shipped. I looked at nice collector bullion too but decided I would save those for the 1oz and just tried to get the best price for a 10oz er. I would say do the bar.

I agree with both you guys. The reason I'm looking at the 10oz coin is because I've already bought all engelhard and JM bars I'm my local dealer for a nice price. I would love to get ATB 5oz coins, but cant find them anywhere. I think ill try an get the 10oz coin for a cheaper price at my local store and save on shipping.

Sounds like you just want some variety to shake up the stack. If that's the case then the 10oz kook will be a nice addition. Pic when you get the chance! Cheers!

Shoot me a PM if you ever want me to pick up something for you. I don't have much experience shipping into Canada but a good friend of mine is the local post master and he would walk me through it. You seem like a good guy through your post. And mods please don't take offense this post I am only trying to help a "forum friend" out.
No worries, good luck stacking.

I would be more in favor of 13 Morgan dollars personally since a single coin or bar of 10 toz might be a bit much to sell at once if needed.
