I know I was just here, but just got back from some running around. Got good and lucky today. Buying dinner at the grocery store, and the teller cracks a roll of unknown coins into the til. I knew I would be getting at least one. A quick glance at the change and BINGO, a bright shinning loonie. Grabbed it by the edge and off to the car. Turns out to be my 1st 2018 coin, and a loonie too..

Grabbed a fin and back in I went. Waited in line when the other til's were free, "can I get 5 loonies please, I need to do laundry tonight" was my pretense. Not a problem and now I have a half dozen straight from the roll sitting right in front of me. Unfortunately when I asked her to break the 5, she grabbed a mittful and thumbed off 5. No....

They are nice and fresh, with a big thumb print on them. I'll live with it.

To top it off I ARP'd a 1979 nickel, and a 2010 loonie from the wild, which doesn't happen to often, from Wendy's at lunch.

Quite a happy camper today..

You're welcome, Don. Since I knew that fourmack was, essentially, in a virtual wasteland for trying to accumulate 1859's down there in New Zealand, I made him a deal. If you pay the postage, I'll send you 40-50 1859 culls FREE(VG or worse or damaged) so you can practice with the Haxby die catalogue site. In accumulating the 1000+ 1859's that I always had, many that I got in auction lots that weren't worthy of being put in holders. I used them as golf-ball markers and gave them away to friends as such also. I even put them out at garage sales, along with other dated culls, and sold them for 75 cents each or 3 for 2 dollars. They sold like hot-cakes. Anyway, Don can keep busy now with the Haxby site and I have fewer golf-ball markers. Enjoy, Don!
