My little "email alert" keeps going off, not that anyone should stop, but I just wanted to add another thought about the 73 w/arrows. That is an exceptional coin with a rare mintage. What is the mottling on the reverse or is that just the lighting?

ciemabon, the 1873 has a greenish blue splattering on the reverse. It looks like it was also present on the observe but was "thumbed" resulting in the grade.
