Beautiful Farthing zookeeperz I personally love the George V coins. A handsome portrait and quite easy to come by. My favorite British obverse unless you count the Gothic Victoria

zookeeperz, I used a 16x glass on it and it just looks like some crude in N.

Picked up another Gothic Florin, I love these coins and buy them when they are affordable and not all marked up. This one is an 1859.

Wasn't sexy at first glance. Picture looks nothing like the coin. In the hand its a little better than Fine but a really poor strike but it's unrecorded 5 over 8 or 6 . I am edging towards it's more likely a 6 as I can see the curve outside the left edge and part of the loop inside. If it were an 8 or another 3 I would expect to see more metal on the right side unless its rotated but nevertheless now becomes Rare very seldom we see overdates on the 3rd numeral unless they are double over punches like 50/49 1853 Copper Farthing 5/6 Over date

The 1853 farthing is known as a 5 over a damaged 5. Although like most coppers opinions will often differ , I remember seeing one in hand and reading a discussion of this type and two fives seemed to be conclusive.

I agree, it looks more like two 5's.
