Quote: Just ordered a 1oz 2013 gold Canadian Mapleleaf and a 1oz 2013 US gold Buffalo....first year that the US gold 1oz has .9999 purity , which is the same as the gold Mapleleafs Just FYI , northerncoins, the Buffaloes have always been .9999, it is the Gold Eagles that have been, and still are, .999. Just didn't want you paying a premium thinking it was the first year.

Thanks denco7 , didn't pay anymore premium then whats normal atm. Didn't know about the 999 eagle gold coin I guess I thought the Buffalo was the only 1oz gold bullion coin the US had.Hmmm maybe I will get one of the eagles too just because... I also just received the 1oz gold Maple leaf and the 1oz gold Buffalo from the post a bit ago, while they are both super nice I am liking the maple leaf better, it just reflects the light/glitters off of the maple leaf where the Buffalo does not "sparkle" just sits there looking nice.

I like the gold maple leafs but they're really thick. I think I would prefer a thinner coin that's slightly wider in diameter.

Added a 1972 Bahamas 2 dollar proof coin to the collection today. Found it for a decent deal, at least I think it was, for $19. I am pretty sure that there is that much in melt.
