Dollar will ALWAYS be the worlds reserve currency

I believe you believe it but I'm sure you wouldn't bet your house on it.

In 2011 ,Wikileaks outed documents stating the Peoples' Bank of China is quietly seeking to make the Renminbi (the yuan)
the new gold-backed reserve currency. So if the US has the supposed 8000 tons it says it has, well they better start auditing it
and showing it to the world, something they always refused to do...why?

The market is the only way you know how to make money. Not the only way. People for thousands of years have viewed Gold and Silver AS money. This was before people were putting dollar amounts on it. And it will be money after the dollar doesn't have enough value for people to care.

The crime rate in the US alone is one of the worst in the world

Only if you look at total crimes, the rates arent even close to worst in the world. Total crimes is a god awful measure since the US is far bigger than the countries it gets compared too.

That doesn't even account for false reporting which over half the world engages in or corruption allowing things that would be crimes to be normal because of who did it.

If you think the US is done youre saying the world is done. The world economy thrives on our consumption. You eliminate the biggest consumer and they all crash too. A few hundred years from now it could be different but thats the way it is right now.

PMs will never be money again. The worlds population is far to large and theres far to much wealth. There would have to be a massive disease or event wiping out the majority of the population in the world to even consider it.

hey Miggs

yea actually before wikileaks had mentioned that about the Chinese I had heard that.

China has been trying for a long time trying to diversify their holdings and even use their currency tied to other assets.

However, they have many problems with that. One big problem they have is trying to sell these new instruments to the rating agencies and other banks and countries.

After that, it gets even more complex. The Chinese don't really hold any sort of status in terms of ratings for their products.

The dirty little secret then is, they are now fully committed to ALWAYS buying dollars and US debt. If they did any sort of wholesale selling of their holdings, they would sink so fast and that's something they don't want.

Yet, all that gold could muster was a puny almost 2K

If we agree that buying gold is to preserve your wealth in uncertain times (as we are now), and considering
the price sat at $35 for some 40 years before inching up, the 2k we saw should tell everybody things are not well.
If the present course is not reversed, gold will go much higher than 2k.

At some point its possible. The problem with now though is you lose a significant percentage of the buying population at those prices. The fewer people that can buy the heavier you need the buying to be from big money sources with would be institutional buyers. Buyers like that havent shown the willingness to be long term buyers. They get in during the uncertainty then get out when things stabilize and they have better uses for the money.

Unless gold just completely changes its MO to be something thats only used to be hoarded by institutions its unlikely to see such extreme prices stay there long term anytime in the near future

New world order is coming,,people that make money off money will be finished. Gov wants people to be on plastic, swipe it we will take care of it,,buy silver,,,hoard copper and zinc..Keep as much of your cash in Star Notes or Fancy Serial #,,,sell your stocks buy silver.Stocks are a 100 year old scam,,,Miners should be paid 200K a year,,,Cosmos

Again not true crime is significantly down from the 90s. You have to pick out small year periods to make that true and cherry pick specific crimes. The only difference is now the news covers it more so people think its up when its not.

If you really think the US is done you should be buying guns, ammo, and MREs setting up a hideout in the woods you can sustain. Like mentioned you cant eat silver and no one will trade food for something they cant eat when they dont know where their next meal is coming from. Make no mistake about it a collapse would mean the majority of the country dies during the struggle. Money would be worthless for years if not decades short of being colonized by someone else. There would be nothing peaceful about it

Oh wait, you guys can always fall back on the talk of "manipulation"

I know you like poo pooing all talk of manipulation but yup the whole world is recognizing it.

The "plunge protection team" (executive order 12631 signed by Reagan) is NOT a fairy tale.
It's original purpose was to prevent another "black Monday" but now it's used to "direct"
markets through derivatives or futures options."In other words, they are using the assets
behind the U.S. Treasury to rig the prices of commodites (gold, currencies, etc.) and stocks."

No they arent actually. Just as one example the murder rate in both percentage and numbers has been going down since 03 and is almost half of what it was for most of the 80s and 90s.

Which just supports the US isn't going to collapse they arent going to destroy their economy to do so.

Metals would be just as worthless in North America as the dollar if that became worthless.

The FBI Uniform Crime Reports dont support your claims about crime increasing every year, theyre in a downtrend for everything. There was a slight increase from the year before (nothing statistically relevant) and huge drops from the early 90s and early 2000s. Theres just really no other way to put it.
