Well Done Yup, you did warn everyone that PM's were on a downtrend ages ago.
ALL PM's are spiralling down chart big time at the moment, Silver has lost 25% of its value over the last week or so and the other big 3 have followed suit.

$15.22/oz right now....crazzzzy!! Maybe its time to buy some but these sellers still charge too much over spot. Was going to try JM Bullion but the minimum order is $100. Tired adding less to my cart but it won't let me check out until there is $100 in there.

Thank you trout1105 for proving my point better than any one else could of:

Yup say as he doesn't look at trends H's not interested in predictions only price action( his words) so how can you compliment him on doing something he says he doesn't do.

I don't dispute Yups skill but I predicted the down turn in 2008 and I predicted the up turn in 2003( and paid off a mortgage as a result).

To really become a great trader Yup needs to understand his own Psychology and that of other traders( not the market) better than he currently does!

Austrokiwi, I believe you have reading comprehension skills lol, either that or english is not your first language which is fine too.

Its also clear you are not a professional trader as you cannot grasp the basic tenant of following price action above all. Further proof of your ignorance of trading is the use of the word "predictions".

Trading is not about by predicting anything, I never attempt to predict what will happen. I always follow price and how it reacts, then I move and take action. If I was predicting, I would be saying "silver will bottom at".

It is foolish to predict and claim that one can predict something.

In any case, feel free to believe what you want, if is of no concern to me because as a trader I am confident in my abilities and experience and I will tune you out just as I tune out noise lol

@MontanaCMR

yes, predicting is completely diffrent, something left to talking heads who have no skin in the game. However, with following price action, there is no need to predict, it's telling one what it wants to do, which is a big difference.

Therefore, if gold and silver were to, in time, return to yearly highs, we could look towards increased probabilities of higher prices, and therefore traders such as myself who are trend following would be buyers of gold and silver.

In the end, its the price action that decides what happens or is happening, no need to predict anything in markets.

@GaryN

Good to hear from you Gary! Yea I can see you being frustrated by the constant gibberish and you know, I really am not bothered by it, because I am used to dealing with "noise"... To me it doesn't bother me in the sense that hey, they are entitled to think what they want but to me, its the old "in an one ear, out in the other". I just continue to contribute here and its clear from the comments here, more people appreciate whats being shared rather than the negativity that makes its way to this thread.

@trout1105

Thanks as always for your kind words Trout! As you know, I have just been following the price action from close to 2 years now. No predicting, no crystal ball, just follow the everyday price action that gives us clues and paints an overall picture of where the trend is. Glad to been of assistance here and share my experience and knowledge.

I think it's fair to say The Royal Mint chose the wrong time to enter the bullion market. These prices are falling through the floor.

@DemarcoBishopp

yea I dont get it either.. I suppose the reason for offering fractionals for storage must be because there is no demand right now at the 1 oz size....

Great idea by the Mint, but just not the market to be doing it at...

Wow, seems to be dropping 50 cents a day!

Personally, I don't intend to sell any silver I buy for decades, so I'm not too worried. However I do feel it will hit $12 or so and stay there. I'm waiting for a bit on some purchases I had in mind.

you can clearly see the momentum the sellers have now, as the yearly price in both gold and silver have been hit in the past few days, more selling triggers, and more selling.

thats the power of the trend at work, the momentum.

Hypothetically speaking, let's say we just hit rock bottom this morning and prices began recovering. How much would silver have to recover before price action guys become net buyers again?

I'm no expert, but I think low prices are here to stay.

It could be 20-30 years before we see such high prices for gold and silver again. I for one will be holding onto my bullion. I'm just glad it makes up a such a small part of my portfolio.

Yupo yep its comprehension skills. But yours!! COme on your nit picking( showing your inexperience, as opposed to skill) on the term prediction. Thats the first sign that some one is loosing an argument in their own mind) I am a psychologist and I have a very different frame of reference. As a trader you have a very operational view point, as an industrial Psychologist and investor my view point will always be strategic. To make it clear so you don't go nit picking again. you are like a soldier in the trenches when shells are falling. YOu just know the shells are falling. Its the generals( that one day you might aspire to) who are interested in knowing where the shells are coming from and who will work out how to stop them. When I take financial advise I want the big picture not the current price point. The big picture includes all the economic forces, all the possibilities and the risks. As you say you are just a "soldier in the trenches": YOu are only interested in which direction the bullets are flying!

I know it's tiring and difficult sometimes, but hopefully you can be the bigger man here and ignore austrokiwi's insulting, vitriolic, prattling rant- just going by the parts I could understand of it, anyway, as the grammar was beyond reprehensible, especially coming from someone who claims to be a psychologist. The fact that he took the time out of his day to highjack your thread and attack one of his fellow countrymen for having the audacity to congratulate you for warning CC stackers that PMs were in trouble- forget the fact that you were proven totally, 100% correct- should tell you everything you need to know about this man's wisdom and character.

I'd really like to get back to doing what this thread was, and is, meant to do: educate. And I'm still waiting patiently for you to answer the question I posed above, when you have the time.

Thanks, Yup :) You the man!
