i just got my book today, I know that I had a list of over 30 coins I wanted to know the population graded by ICCS. I don't know if this is against the rules but if you're wondering or just plain curious on what coins have been graded and how much, comment with the year, denomination and desired grade! Note: the one I think is crazy! 2 MS-66 1921 5 cent coins!

I've always been curious about how many (and what grades) 1976 $100 gold in both proof and speciman have been graded.

Is it that they don't list those types or that none have been certified? Anyway, how about 1939 25 cent in MS65? And thanks

Hey guys, thanks for taking this seriously, I thought someone would come and put me down for doing this! anyways... SPP - you have a one of a kind, there is a 1969 UHC PL-66 population of 10 but there is NO 1970 or 1971, your coin must have been graded after January 2013. Kuh_85: 1990 Loon Dollar = MS-67 - (0) / MS-66 - (7) / MS-65 (32) 1987 50 cent = MS-66 - (0) / MS-65 - (24) 1975 10 cent = MS-66 - (8) / MS-65 - (37) DBM: * attributed just means that they didn't designate Obverse 1 or Obverse 2 on the ICCS flip

Quote: SPP - you have a one of a kind, there is a 1969 UHC PL-66 population of 10 but there is NO 1970 or 1971, your coin must have been graded after January 2013. Really? Hrmm... I have three of them, one I have had for six years. Must be Chinese fakes!! My point is that ICCS population reports are riddled with errors and omissions. I have ICCS certified coins that do no show up in the pop reports. Until a couple of years ago, proof-like cameo coins after 1967 were not counted. There are tons (like 40+) of 1971 PL ultra heavy cameo 1-cent coins out in the market, I have certified more than a dozen personally. From 2003 to 2006, ICCS graded coins from sets as MS, before finally recognizing Ottawa-produced coin and calling them Numismatic BU (look at the 1991 25-cent population, or any coin from the 1998W or 1999P sets). Also, the reports will report abundances far greater than the coins real certified populations. Dealers and collectors who crack coins out and resubmit back to ICCS, or to NGC/PCGS, don't often return the certificates to ICCS... do a search on CCF here for a few past debates on this very topic. The nickel dollars you see in MS-65, MS-66 and MS-67 are good examples. I own most of them, and the best have already been put in PCGS holders. Lastly, if you have been to the ICCS office on Yonge Street, you will see that their "database" is a bunch of old filing cabinets... imagine the potential of that information, if it was put in a proper, query-friendly, database. That said, the population report is a useful tool, I especially use it for post-King George VI coins, when buying and search BU rolls and I use it to check Victorian obverse types versus grades. Just keep that in the back of your head, when using the report...

still dont get why they dont switch over to 2013...and use electronic databases like PCGS and every other TPGs.
One fire and all records are gone lol...
Plus ICCS flips are cheap and brittle
